Coral Co. (P4D3)

Help Us Bring California to the World Stage!
We are Aaniya, Alyssa, Ayana, Arsh, Evan, Isaac, and Justin—a passionate team of students from 5th to 10th grade competing in Odyssey of the Mind, Problem 4, Division 3 (High School Level). Our journey has been intense, and after months of dedication, creativity, and problem-solving, we emerged as Regional and State Champions. Now, we’ve earned the incredible honor of competing at the World Finals at Michigan State University (May 21-24)!
For the past six months, we have worked tirelessly—writing our script, designing props, and crafting costumes entirely by hand, all while staying within a strict $165 budget and prioritizing recyclable materials. We also engineered a remarkably strong structure from less than 15 grams of balsa wood, which held an astonishing 810 lbs at the state competition!
Now, we need your support to take this final step. Travel, lodging, materials, and meals add up quickly, and we are reaching out for help to make this dream a reality. Every donation, big or small, brings us closer to representing not just MCEF, but the entire state of California on the global stage.
Your generosity fuels our passion, our learning, and our ability to showcase the power of creativity, engineering, and teamwork. Thank you for believing in us!

TA-DA! We are Xin Rou, Vaani, Suhavi, Amy, Vunshika, Shrey, and Yi Jet from William Burnett Elementary School, Milpitas. We are super excited to represent Burnett Elementary, Milpitas, and Northern California in the Odyssey of The Mind World Finals in Lansing, MI!
This is the very first time that our school has ever participated in the Odyssey of The Mind. Our team consists of 2nd, 3rd and 4th graders, and we barely knew each other when we started. Teamwork was the hardest part. We disagreed about almost everything, including how to build the structure or what dialogues to say. But over time, we learned how to get along with each other, cooperate, and work as a team. We wrote our own script, made and decorated our own costumes and backdrops, and built a balsa wood structure that weighed just 18 grams, but supported a whopping 700+ lbs of weight on top of it. With our combined efforts and hard work, we not just won 3rd place at the regional level, but we won 1st place at the state level!
We are seeking your support towards the costs associated with travel, accommodation, and other logistical needs to attend the World Finals. We promise with your support, we’ll put our best efforts together to bring home the trophy and proudly make Milpitas known to the world. We deeply appreciate any contribution or sponsorship from you. Thank you!!!

Snowy Sinnott Wildcats (P2D1)
Hello from Team Snowy Sinnott Wildcats!! We, Aarini Mankad, Zuhayr Hafiz,, Yusha Ibrahim, and Aarush Gupta are a John Sinnott Elementary School team and we have worked very hard to advance from regionals to state and state to world. We have secured second place in regional and state.

Now going to world for the first time, is important to our team because we will get an experience of advancing to a very difficult level for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade, as we will be competing with 850 teams from places all over the world.

We have learned how to work as a team, agree with each other, respect, build, solder, work with motors and more. We have created a script, props, a mechanical animal, music instruments and more.

We are seeking your support to help us pay for airfare, shipping, lodging, registration, and needs among other expenses. Any contribution is helpful to our team in some way.

Mech Marvels (P2D1)

Help Team Mech Marvels Represent California at the Odyssey of the Mind World Finals!

We are Team Mech Marvels from Curtner Elementary School in Milpitas, California, a dedicated group of 3rd, 4th, and 5th-grade students. Our team—Ahana, Ananya, Isha, Krisha, Mahathi, Shanaya, and Vihaan—has achieved an incredible feat by securing1st place at both the regional and state levels of the Odyssey of the Mind competition.

This achievement has earned us an invitation to represent California at the World Finals in East Lansing, Michigan, from May 21 to May 24, 2025. The World finals is an international competition and reaching this prestigious level is a dream come true for our team. We couldn’t be more excited!

Our Odyssey
For the past six months, we’ve been hard at work creating our performance. From building our mechanical animal to crafting our scripts to designing props and costumes, we have done it all by hand, using recyclable materials, and working within a modest budget of just $150. Our hard work has paid off, and now we have the chance to show the world what we’re capable of. But we need your support to make this journey happen!

Ever wonder what happens when a group of kids combines creativity, teamwork, problem-solving, and a whole lot of perseverance?
In their words - “We are the Wildcat Crusher Squad - Ananya, Anika, Bhuvan, Maanvi, Nandita, Riya and Sparsh, a team of seven 3rd and 4th grade kids from John Sinnott Elementary School. We came together last year to compete in Odyssey of the Mind, an after-school program to build solutions to open-ended problems in a performance. Our chosen challenge was to build a balsa wood structure that could hold a lot of weight, and weave it into a heartwarming sketch about animal rescue. We rolled up our sleeves and spent over 200 hours in the last 6 months, learning and improving our engineering, crafting, storytelling, and performing skills. All that hard work paid off - our 18gm structure held a mindblowing 930 lbs of weight, and we won at the Regional and State level rounds! We now get to represent California in the world finals in Michigan this May, and are thrilled!”
Help YOUR community John Sinnott Elementary kids shine. Please donate now to support their trip and be a part of their success. Your donation will not only fund their travel, but also teach them that they can be leaders, rise to any challenge, and count on their community!
