STEAM Showcase 2026
Eligibility

MCEF is proud to host our Annual STEAM showcase, a joint venture with the Milpitas Unified School District, which highlights science, technology, engineering, arts, and math projects that students have created in a non-competitive event.
Last year we had over 750 students, 425+ projects to be presented virtually, and 170+ projects to be presented in person on April 5, 2025, at Milpitas High School. We expect to exceed those numbers this year.

We invite the community to join us on April 4, 2026 to see these amazing creations and online, when we release the 2025 STEAM showcase website.
Tentative Schedule
This year, we want to let participants and their families know the rough schedule so that folks can plan on getting their projects submitted on time, given the increasing number of projects.

For Your Information
In the past, we had several recurring questions, so we want to clarify these early to avoid confusion or frustration.

-
This district wide event is NOT competitive. It is intended to show the community what the students of all grades are learning in the area of STEAM as well as to inspire students to explore STEAM.
-
It is an opportunity for students to present their projects either virtually or in person and see what other students are presenting as well.
-
Because of space and volunteers, our in person event can only support a certain number of projects. We use a formula in try to balance the representation equally, with a bias towards our underrepresented groups, but it is not perfect. We work with the school sites on choosing those projects.
-
This event is run by volunteers. Please treat them with respect. If you have an issue, please contact MCEF co-presidents Swati Shah or Amin Fazal with the email below.

Donations
As you can imagine, to put on an event of this size requires financial support. Any donations would be appreciated and a receipt will be given.
