Support Curtner in the
Odyssey of the Mind World Finals!
MCEF is excited to support the three exceptional teams from Curtner Elementary School—The Star Builders, Curtain Crew, and AOI—as they prepare for the Odyssey of the Mind's World Finals. This event presents an extraordinary chance for the students to demonstrate their creative problem-solving abilities and pursue their interests in unique, open-ended challenges.

The World Finals will be hosted at the lively Iowa State University campus in Ames, Iowa. To make this dream a reality, the teams seek your support to cover travel costs, ticket purchases, registration fees, and more. Even if you cannot attend in person, you can still be part of the excitement through a livestream of the event, enabling you to support them from any location.

We invite you to join us in supporting these skilled teams and helping them make a significant impact on the global stage!

Curtner Teams
The Star Builders
Hello, we are Aarav, Arsh, Aangi, Isaac, Supan, and Merul from Curtner Elementary School in Milpitas.

Our team, The Star Builders, recently participated in Odyssey of the Mind, achieving 2nd place at the regional level and 1st place at the state level.
Now, we have the incredible opportunity to compete in the world finals, which will take place in Ames, Iowa from May 21st to May 25th. Over the past five months, our team has dedicated countless hours to crafting our script, props, and costumes entirely by hand, utilizing recyclable materials and adhering to a strict budget of just $145.
As we gear up for this prestigious event, we are reaching out for support to cover expenses such as tickets, registration fees, lodging, and meals. Your assistance, no matter how small, would mean the world to us.

We are deeply honored and thrilled to represent not only our school but also the state of California on the global stage. Thank you for considering supporting our journey to the world finals!
Curtain Crew
Hello! Our names are Aaniya, Atharv, Dhruvi, Vivaan, Nyssa, Kireeti, and Stelly, and we are the Odyssey of the Mind team from Curtner Elementary School in Milpitas, CA (Problem 3/Div 2)
This year, we have been competing in Odyssey of the Mind for regional and state competitions. After winning in our category at the 2024 state competition in CA earlier this Spring, we will compete once again at the World Finals in Iowa at the end of May! Teams from 25 countries worldwide will compete at the World Finals.
We created an original play (including the script, sets, props, costumes, and makeup) with absolutely no help from adults and a budget of only $125 (because those are the rules!).
We hope to raise money to help with the registration fees, lodging, meals, trailer rental (transport sets/costumes/props), etc.
The competitions consist of the performance of our original skit based on the exact set of required elements given (the "long-term problem") as well as the performance of the "spontaneous problem," in which teams are asked to perform random tasks on the spot with no prior preparation, such as creating a bridge out of unique materials that can support the weight. So, it's a great combination of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) with the arts (STEAM)! It also requires a lot of teamwork and effective communication.
We sincerely appreciate any assistance, large or small, you can provide as we prepare to make the journey to Iowa!
AOI
Hello! We are : Aanya Shinoy, Ahana Mathur, Ananya Madabusi , Gayatri Upadhyay, Krisha Praveen, Sabareesh Venkatesan and Shivansh Rai

After securing one of the top 2 finalists in both the Regional and State Odyssey of the Mind competitions, we are thrilled to announce our advancement to the World Finals to be held at Iowa State University between May 21st-24th.
As a newly formed team, this marks the inaugural or second year in Odyssey for most of our members. Despite being new, we have dedicated ourselves to learning the ropes: fostering mutual support, cultivating positive brainstorming techniques, and, most importantly, embracing hard work and fun. The whole journey of 6 months has been nothing short of challenging in every way!
To facilitate our journey to the World Finals, we are seeking assistance in covering the travel and boarding expenses for our team of seven members and a coach. Your generous support is pivotal in enabling us to compete at this prestigious event.
As we prepare for this esteemed occasion, we kindly seek your support in covering essential expenses like **tickets, registration fees, lodging, and meals**. Your assistance, no matter how modest, would be immensely appreciated.
