Odyssey of the Mind
What is Odyssey of the Mind (OM)?
Odyssey of the Mind is an international educational program that provides creative problem-solving opportunities for students from kindergarten through college. It's more than just a competition; it's a place where kids can explore their imaginations, work together, and build confidence.
Teams of up to seven students collaborate to develop essential STEAM skills—science, technology, engineering, arts, and math. By solving open-ended challenges in a safe environment, participants learn to think beyond the box without fear of criticism.
MCEF’s Vital Role in Our Community
The Milpitas Community Education Foundation (MCEF) is committed to centralizing support so that OM is accessible to everyone. Through MCEF's dedicated coordination, we strive to achieve several critical goals for our youth:

Expanding Access: We are determined to provide open access to ALL MUSD students — no matter their school PTA support.

Bridging Campuses: MCEF will enable cross-school teams, especially for Division II (grade 6-8).

Building Confidence: MCEF strives to give students a deep sense of achievement and meaningful recognition.
