MCEE's 3rd annual Black tie fundraiser
While the rain and traffic attempted to be the Grinch on Friday, Dec 13, our 3rd Annual Black Tie Fundraiser showed it was no match. We had great food, awesome performances by the MHS Jazz Band and Choir, and had plenty holiday fun while raising funds for the Milpitas Community Educational Endowment and MHS Music Program. Special thanks goes out the Milpitas POA for their support! We want to thank Kansen Chu and his wife Daisy, Milpitas Vice Mayor Karina Dominguez, MUSD Board President Hon Lien, MUSD VP Chris Norwood, and MUSD Clerk Kelly Yip-Chuan for their support as well.
MCEE awards its first $5000 grant to MUSD
At the Oct 8 MUSD board meeting, MCEE awarded their very first grant of $5,000 to Thomas Russell Middle School's Student Leadership program. The students were excited to receive it! The funds will be used toward transportation for their annual leadership field trip, a portable microphone/speaker system for rallies and school activities, and other equipment that will enhance their morning announcements, film-making skills, and event advertising. We are planning to make this an annual event and you can help us by donating to MCEE!
MCEE Fundraising with milpitas charity bingo
MCEE plans on fundraising through the MIlpitas Charity Bingo as a way to supplement its operational costs. If you like bingo, come on out and support the nights that we are there. Just check our calendar.
MCEE's 2nd mid-autumn festival
We held our 2nd Annual Mid Autumn Festival on Saturday, September 28 at the San Jose City College Milpitas Extension (SJCC-Milpitas). There were arts and crafts, exhibits, community talks and information, food, and performances for the community to enjoy. This was the first time it was held at SJCC-Milpitas and it was a great way to see the facility for many who had not. MCEE would like to thank its sponsors: Excel Test, First 5, Ocean Supermarket, City of Milpitas, Fresh & Natural, Le Travel, and Valley Water. In kind sponsors included SJCC-Milpitas, The Milpitas Beat, Logos, etc, Office of Dave Cortese, Dan Sinh Media, MUSD, and Tri Trinh. Also, special thanks to the performers: Wings of 100 Dance Company, the Fremont Chinese School, Pacific Music Association, Starlight Group, and Ana Naranjo’s Hispanic dance group. MCEE has already started planning next year’s event, which will be targeted toward the end of September or early October, 2020. For more information, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
