MCEE awards its first $5000 grant to MUSD
At the Oct 8 MUSD board meeting, MCEE awarded their very first grant of $5,000 to Thomas Russell Middle School's Student Leadership program. The students were excited to receive it! The funds will be used toward transportation for their annual leadership field trip, a portable microphone/speaker system for rallies and school activities, and other equipment that will enhance their morning announcements, film-making skills, and event advertising. We are planning to make this an annual event and you can help us by donating to MCEE!

MCEE's 2nd mid-autumn festival
We held our 2nd Annual Mid Autumn Festival on Saturday, September 28 at the San Jose City College Milpitas Extension (SJCC-Milpitas). There were arts and crafts, exhibits, community talks and information, food, and performances for the community to enjoy. This was the first time it was held at SJCC-Milpitas and it was a great way to see the facility for many who had not. MCEE would like to thank its sponsors: Excel Test, First 5, Ocean Supermarket, City of Milpitas, Fresh & Natural, Le Travel, and Valley Water. In kind sponsors included SJCC-Milpitas, The Milpitas Beat, Logos, etc, Office of Dave Cortese, Dan Sinh Media, MUSD, and Tri Trinh. Also, special thanks to the performers: Wings of 100 Dance Company, the Fremont Chinese School, Pacific Music Association, Starlight Group, and Ana Naranjo’s Hispanic dance group. MCEE has already started planning next year’s event, which will be targeted toward the end of September or early October, 2020. For more information, contact email@example.com.
MCEE hosts its 3rd annual STanford Cardinal day
On Aug 31, MCEE held its 3rd Annual Stanford Cardinal Kids Day. Students from our Title 1 schools, who would be likely to be first in their family to go to college were invited to join us for a tour of Stanford and take in a football game. MCEE covered the ticket prices and tours. We want to thank Peter Salazar, a Weller teacher, who served as our tour guide. A shout out to all of our chaperones which included teachers, principals, parents, and MCEE board members. We could not have done this without their support.
