Bolder Actions Scholarship 2024

Milpitas is a community known for its tight-knit spirit and commitment to supporting one another. Through this program, we aim to foster a culture of compassion and generosity by extending a helping hand to those who exhibit exemplary acts of kindness and reaching out to others who can use a friend as well as taking a stand against bullies.

Juliette Gomez, Founder of Bolder Actions and author of "Can I Push?" is planting seeds and rewarding Acts of Kindness. One $500 scholarship will not only serve as a recognition of the recipient’s positive contributions but also provide financial support for their educational pursuits. Juliette wants to invest in the education of those who actively engage in making their surroundings a better place through their actions, She hopes to inspire a ripple effect of goodwill and community involvement.

ELIGIBILITY

Must be a senior at Milpitas High School, Milpitas Middle College High School, or Calaveras High School, graduating in the Class of 2024.

Must have a minimum 2.5 GPA, and provide an unofficial copy of your high school transcript.

Must plan on attending a trade school, 2 or 4-year college or university in the Fall of 2024 and taking a "full-time student" class load

Must compose a 1000-word essay on the following topic:

How have you used kindness and compassion in your community service to empower someone or take a stand against bullying? Please include specific examples.
