Welcome

The Milpitas Community Educational Endowment (MCEE) is a California 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to supporting Milpitas public schools.

Our mission is two-fold:
1. To partner with parents, the Milpitas Unified School District, and the community to raise funds for providing educational opportunities for all students in the district, and
2. To encourage more community involvement in our public schools.

Thank YOU!

MCEE REaches its $100K Milestone!

Picture
The Milpitas Community Educational Endowment has reached its initial goal for raising $100,000 for the endowment this month. This positions the organization to start distributing roughly 5% ($5,000) of its value annually back to the Milpitas Unified School District. The distribution will roughly at the start of each school year in September. The goal was reached roughly 6 months ahead of its own schedule and It also allows MCEE to start planning its programs and goals for the next 5 years, through June 2024. We are super proud and thankful for all our supporters from the last 9+ years! If you want to help get us a head start on our next funding goal, please make a donation online, using the button below. THANK YOU!

This year, MCEE will host donation drives for three school organizations: MHS Theatre, Rancho International Trip, and the MHS Xtreme Robotics Club. We feel these three organizations are trying to provide extraordinary experiences to our Milpitas students and we would like to help. We will provide a receipt that may be used for tax purposes. As always, please confer with your tax professional on the applicability of your donations. Click on each of their logos  to read their stories and donate.

successful 2nd Annual black tie holiday funDraiser

On Friday, December 7, MCEE held its 2nd Annual Black Tie Holiday Fundraiser. Over 90 attendees help us break our $100,000 goal into the endowment!. For the night, we raised nearly $4000, where our MHS jazz and MHS choir received $1000. We thank all that were able to join us, and special thanks to XL Construction for donating tickets to the event. Also, a shout out to MHS Jazz Band and Choir for a great performance.

Looking for volunteers

As we grow, we are in need of dedicated volunteers with some specific skills:
  • Auditor - someone familiar with reviewing financial statements, taxes, and financial processes.
  • Board Member - with Marketing / CPA skillset. Requirement to attend quarterly board meetings in addition to quarterly general meetings.
So, if you have a passion for our mission, and want to give back to the community, MCEE offers a great opportunity to continue building a legacy of supporting our kids in Milpitas. Contact us at info@mceefoundation.org if you are interested.

We are super excited about our Community Conversations program. We had a great conversation on Feb 28, talking about the "Say Something Program" with Jill Sequeria from the Sandy Hook Project. In partnership with the Milpitas Beat and the San Jose City College, Milpitas extension, we were able to record the conversation. Check it out here.

This month's conversation will feature Chief of Police Armando Corpuz, and will visit a variety of topics from drugs, community policing, and how you can help make Milpitas safer. We hope that you can join us on Thursday, March 28 at 6pm at the San Jose City College, Milpitas Extension.
