This year we had over 160 students who signed up to participate, with over 60 projects to showcase. We had representation from almost every school in the district and grades K - 12th grade. We want to give a huge thanks to Karen Muska, Kimi Schmidt, Yolie Garcia for organizing and managing the event, and huge support from Chin Song and Robert Jung. Also, we want to recognize all of the MCEE volunteers as well as all of the teachers and parents who supported their kids. We can't wait for next year! For more details, you can check the STEAM showcase website.

MCEE has partnered with the More Active Girls in Computing (MAGIC) organization to offer middle school girls one on one mentoring from professionals in the STEM field. We have just completed the selection process and would like to congratulate the following girls:
We had almost 50 girls interested with 20 applications, and could only provide six mentors. These six will spend three hours a week (one hour/week with their mentor) from now to April to explore STEM interests, and develop a project to showcase. For more information on MAGIC, check out www.getmagic.org.
